We had our Active School Week last June the 11th to 15th. We got up to lots of fun activities including Jiu Jitsu, Hip Hop Dance, Walk a Mile with a Smile, Penalties against Mr Glynn, Wake Up Shake Up, Drop everything and dance, Walk on Wednesday/Cycle on Wednesday and our school Sports Days.

On Tuesday the whole school took part in 'Walk a Mile with a Smile', where we walked a mile around town and back to school. It was great fun!
On Wednesday each class from 3rd to 6th held a penalty competition and the top 3 boys and girls from each class had a chance to score a penalty on Mr Glynn! Every goal scorer earned a homework voucher for their whole class!
Hip Hop Dance
Lourdes from 'Sparks' Hip Hop Dance school came to the school on Thursday for juniors to second classes.
Senior Sports Day took place on Thursday with a mix of competitive and non competitive events.

Junior Sports Day
Junior Sports Day took place on Friday. This year for ASW we added more non competitive games to the junior sports day and this proved to be a great success for everyone involved.
Wake Up Shake Up Activity Burst
Every morning during the week the whole school did Active Line Exercises in the yard before going into class. Even the teachers got involved!
60 Minute Challenge and Most Active Class Competition
During ASW every class took part in the 60 minutes a day activity challenge and a most active class competition. Ms. Power's 2nd class were the most active Junior Class and were rewarded with a trip to the playground! Mrs. Hynes' 4th class were the most active senior class and were rewarded with a free game of bowling at the Ennis Planet Entertainment Centre!
