Today, a farmer and his animals came to visit us here in CBS. We could hear the animals making lots of different noises during the day so we were very excited when it was our turn to visit! The farmer had a piglet, a calf, a goat, a donkey, a sheep, a lamb, a hen and a rooster. We learned a lot about these animals and enjoyed every minute of it!
Today a lovely lady called Dawn from the Dogs Trust came to talk to us. We learned so much! We learned how to care for dogs and how to be safe around dogs. She told us about all the good work the Dogs Trust do. They care for 206 dogs! We told Dawn stories about our own dogs too! She gave us certificates and stickers for being so good.
Today we walked to Cusack Park to support the older boys who were playing in a football final! It was the Division A Schools County Final and we won. We cheered and sang lots of songs. Emily's older brother Michael was on the team. It was such an exciting game, we were so happy we got to go.
We think Autumn is a beautiful time of year. We made some lovely leaf animals. Can you guess what animals they are? We hope you like them.
This week we talked a lot about our Gardaí! Many of the boys and girls here would like to be a Garda when they are older.
Mollie brought in her Grandad's old Garda hat. When Mollie put it on she became a Garda! Niall Casey reckons that you wouldn't want to get into trouble with this Garda!
"You wouldn't want to get into trouble with this Garda"
We are enjoying dancing to this song. It is great exercise and it really does make us feel happy! See if you can remember some of the moves at home.
(Oh, I forgot to say, we are mad about minions in this class!)
