The Easter Bunny arrived at the CBS today. The excitement was through the roof!!! The children followed all of the clues that the Easter Bunny left and we eventually found the Easter Basket.
I hope you have a lovely Easter break!
Our New French Song
Our maths topic in school at the moment is Money.
Here is a great website that we have been using in class.
You should check it out at home also. Our favourite parts are:
1. Shopping Spree
2. Change Please (from 10c)
3. Money Match
Salut mes amis!
With the help of our new friends from École Rheas in France, we have started learning French in Senior Infants. The teachers have been sending each other French and English songs for all of the children to learn. We then skype each other on Friday mornings and perform our new songs! This week we learned a brilliant song called "Salut! Salut! Salut!"

Mummy made pancakes on Tuesday.
She tossed them in the air.
One fell on the table
And one fell on the chair.
One fell on the cooker
And one fell on the grate.
But lucky for me,
I got three
Because they fell on my plate!
As you can see, all of the children looked spooktacular today!
We had a fantastic day, full of fun and magic.
Hope you have a great Halloween break!
Today it was raining all day long but lucky for us we got to go over to the Halla for an Obstacle Course. Sue-Ellen, Saoirse & our teacher set it up. It was lots of fun and we were very tired and thirsty afterwards!
Visit to the Library
Last Friday our class went on a trip to the library with Ms Murphy's class. We had a great time reading so many books.
Today schools all over Ireland celebrated the Easter Rising of 1916. Our school gathered in the yard and together we remembered all of those brave people who fought for our country in 1916 and in the years after. The original 1916 Proclamation was read out and children from Mr Corry's 3rd class read out their own Proclamation, setting out their visions and ideals for the future. The band played and all of the school sang Amhrán na bhFiann. Padraic then raised the flag high up over our school.
Here is a video clip of our class singing Amhrán na bhFiann today.
We are so delighted with our performance today. All of our practise finally paid off. Our teachers Mrs Frawley and Ms Lynch are so proud of us!
Here are some pictures from today...
