We learned about the magic 'e' and how it makes a vowel say its own name.
We all had a lot of fun learning about the magic 'e' by playing
'The magic e adventure game'!
Give it a try!
This week we are learning all about the -oa- sound. We need to use the rule: 'When two vowels go a-walking, the first one always does the talking! This was a cool poem we found to really make us understand our -oa sound.
We have been learning all about patterns; in colours, shapes and numbers! We have learned lots about odd and even numbers. Here is a little rhyme we said to help us remember which is which:
0,2,4,6 and 8: Even numbers are so great!
1,3,5, 7 and 9: I think odd numbers are fine!
We played some cool games to help us with our odd and even numbers. See if you can find any patterns!
We were so lucky to have Joanne Galvin (Emma's mum!) come into our class every Friday to teach us about Junior Achievement. We learned so much about our community.
Welcome to Ms. Power's 2nd class. We hope you enjoy our blog!
