For the last number of weeks we have really enjoyed our Literacy Lift off activities. We got to read so many interesting books. We had great fun playing with words at the word work station! We loved using the mini whiteboards with the markers! We got to come up with some excellent sentences at the writing station, and we really let our imaginations wander in the free writing station!
We owe a huge thank you to Ms. Dixon, Mrs. Breen, Mrs. Kearney and Martina for all the work and help that they gave us. We will really miss Literacy Lift Off, but we promise to keep up our reading with our shared reading books and our class library!
We have been learning about how important it is to recycle our rubbish. We have different bins in our classroom. The bin marked 'D' is for dry recyclable materials. The bin marked 'W' is for wet waste like wet tissues. The bin marked 'C' is for compost which includes fruit peelings. Recycling our rubbish helps make our school and our environment a much nicer place to live in!
Here is a game we played where we helped Barnaby Bear sort out his rubbish!!
Check out this website which gives us lots of practice on our spellings and phonics!
We sometimes listen to these songs. Which ones are your favourites?

We really enjoyed becoming designers when we made lots of cool outfits! I definitely think some of the children in this class have a future as fashion designers!
