We had lots of fun at school today playing cards. We played Memory and Snap. We can't wait to find out tomorrow about all the card games that our parents and grandparents played when they were young! Check out some of our photos!
See if you can send all these ghosts back to their haunted mansion!
In maths we are doing lots of work about number patterns this week. This game really tests your knowledge of the patterns hiding in the 100 square! See can you collect all the bones!
Here are three very important dates for your diary:
Communion enrolment: 18th October 7pm
First Confession: 4th April 7pm
Communion: 20th May 11am.
We have been doing loads of work this week about all the different parts of our culture that makes Ireland such a special place. We came up with loads of ideas like our language, art, music, history and even our laws! Here is a great website which shares lots of information about Ireland. You should check it out!
It is so important for all children to complete all parts of their homework, as it helps to reinforce what was learned in school during the day. Usually children will have:
2. Irish spellings
5. English reading
6. From time to time the children will get some writing exercises.
If for any reason homework is not completed it would be great if you could send a note in your child's homework diary.
Hoping for a memorable year in 2nd class!

Be sure to check out the blog from time to time where we will post cool games, clips and news we experience as the year goes on.
To get you all started here is a cool tables game to practice.
Be sure to comment and let us know how you score!
I scored 620 on the +2 tables. Can anyone beat me?
